i am trying to put a new layour and or background, but it won't work. i copy the code then paste it in my about me section and save changes, but it won't work. what am i doing wrong am i going to the wrong site?

you might be using a bad site.
try myspacebrand.com or some other sites besides the ones you are using. make sure you check every single place where you can edit your profile. someone's layout may have placed a hidden code in your profile so you wouldnt be able to use other layouts.
myspacebrand.com is 100% safe and reliable though. they'll even make layouts on request

Remove the old coding before placing in the new one. Sometimes people forget and even though the coding is in there, nothing happens.
